The photo you see to the left is the night of the premiere of
Manos: The Hands of Fate on Nov. 15, 1966 at the Capri Theater in El Paso, Texas. In it we see some members of the cast seated in the theater before the start of the film.
Dressed in a tuxedo instead of his more iconic black robe with giant red hands, Tom Neyman (aka The Master) is seated next to his young daughter Jackey, who played Debbie in the movie. At least her theater seat is a lot cleaner than the couch she had to sit on in the movie. To her left is her mother and next is Diane Mahree who played Margaret. Seated in the row ahead are who appear to be some of
The Master's wives.
After the premiere, the movie would virtually disappear from public view for almost thirty years until it was shown on an episode of
Mystery Science Theater 3000. It has since become a cult phenomenon.
This photo is
available for purchase on e-bay from Jackey Raye Neyman-Jones with her autograph and also Tom Neyman's.
