Bcast Cult Podcast

I found out about Bcast Cult Podcast only a few weeks ago while browsing new uploads on DTube. As you might surmise, it's a podcast that discusses B-movies, so I was happy to have discovered it. Apparently, the show has been around for a few years and the episodes that are currently being uploaded are from its beginning. They're all new to me so I've listened to each one so far.

The episodes are hosted by Mike and Mal (aka Malaria) and feature very casual conversations about bad movies they've watched, as well as B-movie news and nerd culture.

Mal also draws really cool reproductions of the movie posters related to each episode, often in crayon or color pencils.

Now on DSound!

Bcast episodes are also being archived on DSound, which is a new platform that is similar to Soundcloud. DSound allows content creators to upload their own audio content such as music or podcasts which listeners can then "like" by clicking on a heart icon, which compensates creators with Steem, a cryptocurrency.

It does not cost the listeners anything to listen and more importantly, it does not cost them anything to reward the creators.

I was more than happy to like Bcast's posts even though my Steem Power is not that high. Once I have more Steem Power, my "like" will have more value and hopefully I'll be able to compensate them more.

In turn, I hope more movie podcasters will choose to host their shows on DSound so listeners like me (some with more Steem Power) can support their work and their passion.
